Computed is a scale model tracking the movements of the artist's hands. These movements were obtained by a computer generated script of randomly chosen ‘therbligs’. Therbligs are 18 kinds of elemental motions used in the study of motion economy in the workplace. In the work the relation between the computer and the computed is reversed in order to generate a fully conscious automated gesture.
